Over at The Hawthorns for a session with West Bromwich Albion Foundation, where we were joined pitchside by Ryan Mason as he lapped the ground, settling into his role as First Team Manager.
Inside the stadium, 35 students from the Sandwell College got stuck into a youth-led, interactive workshop. We stripped back the idea that gambling is “just part of the game,” looked at how online betting shows up in their day-to-day lives, and opened up honest conversations about pressure, influence, and choice — on the pitch and beyond it.
"We've been working with Against the Odds for several months now and the impact this organisation has had on our students has been fantastic. Hard hitting topics have really hit home with our young people and challenged students to talk/share any concerns they may have. We are one of the biggest FE providers in the UK (16-18) and ATO have managed to raise awareness to such a large audience across Sandwell College & our sporting partnerships. We recommend Against the Odds to all private and public sector organisations trying to raise awareness. We look forward to our continued work with Aaron and the team in the near future."
