The Green Army who play out of New Mill Lane, Fazeley have a host of Junior and Senior teams with the First Team achieving promotion to Division 1 – Midlands Football League, last season.
 ATO will be working with all players throughout the club over the next couple of years delivering sessions around the gambling industry and further risk of addiction. A big thanks to Aaron Cartwright – Club Secretary who has displayed the Against The Odds Logo on all training tops and away shorts throughout the Club, as Coton Green FC play their part in helping drive the message and increase awareness of problem gambling within young Adults. “Against The Odds are doing some great work, and if we can do our bit to spread the wider message around the midlands football community then it will be a job well done.  I’m looking forward to enabling Aaron the opportunity to go and speak with our youth and first team. The story of two young lads who started gambling before the legal age in this country. To anyone that doesn’t understand gambling addiction, give this a watch! Online gambling in particular is 24/7 at work, college, university or from your own bed. Despite being a 18+ product, gambling logos appear more than 600 times on average during a live game of football. Gambling is advertised on high streets, radio, television, buses, phone boxes, stadiums, clothing, newspapers, podcasts and more. The above is exactly why I started this business. The gap in education and awareness of the gambling industry and risk of addiction is frightening specifically for young adults.

More than any other addiction… Today we joined our friends at @the_bigstep and walked 17 miles from The Etihad to Old Trafford finishing in Worsley, in memory of Ryan Myers from Liverpool. Ryan was 27 when he took his life in 2014 after becoming addicted to gambling and it was a real privilege and surreal experience to spend time with his dad, John and other families who had lost loved ones! We will continue to support the great work these guys are doing on a daily basis until a much stronger government reform is in place!
